If you’ve ever opened CLO3D and instantly felt overwhelmed by the tools, menus, and learning curve—you’re not alone. I’ve worked with so many creative sewists and aspiring pattern designers who know what they want to make, but feel stuck trying to figure out how to make it happen digitally.
I created this course because I believe learning CLO3D doesn’t have to be confusing, isolating, or intimidating. With the right support, you can start confidently, create something real, and actually enjoy the process.
I’ve helped students take their first steps into digital pattern drafting, and I’d love to help you do the same—with guidance, encouragement, and a few fun surprises along the way.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
Confidently navigate CLO3D and use the tools that matter most
Design, sew, and animate your first complete digital garment
Export your pattern to print or project and bring it to life in fabric

Have a question? You’re probably not the only one—here are the answers to what most new students ask before they start.
Absolutely! This course is designed for beginners. It pairs perfectly with the free 14-day CLO3D trial so you can test the waters, build confidence, and see if you want to invest in the software long-term.
You’ll get lifetime access to the course content so you can revisit any lesson whenever you like.
However, office hour access is available for the first two weeks only—so you can get support while you're actively learning and stay motivated to complete the course.
No worries! You can submit questions inside our private community and receive personalized video responses, so you’re never left stuck.
Definitely. Many of my students are home sewists who want to level up their creativity. This course is all about using CLO3D to create patterns you can print or project at home—and sew for real.
You don’t need Illustrator to complete this course.
However, if you want to export your pattern for printing or projecting, you’ll need a tool like Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or Inkscape to set up the print file. Don't worry—I show you how in this course, step-by-step.

CLO3D is a powerful program and works best on a computer with a dedicated graphics card and plenty of RAM (16GB+ is ideal). Before enrolling, I recommend checking the official CLO3D system requirements.
Yes! Even if you’ve dabbled in CLO3D, this course gives you a structured, practical project to complete and introduces powerful tools like animation, topstitching, fabric application, and pattern exporting. It’s a perfect refresher.
Yes—as long as you follow along with the short daily lessons (10–15 minutes) and practice activities, you’ll have a rendered digital garment and a printable pattern by the end of the course.
Both! Whether you want to explore digital fashion, sell patterns, or just make stunning clothes for yourself, this course is your entry point. No design background required—just creativity and curiosity.
