Do I need a serger to sew my leggings?
No you can sew leggings with a regular sewing machine using a stretch stitch. The demo is there to show you options, not to require specific equipment.

This is a great starter course but you will want some basic familiarity with your software first. If you're starting from zero, I'd recommend getting comfortable with the tools before diving in.
